From an ink doodle to painting Grand Jeté is one of the more dramatic changes. Here I tried a different color direction. Indeed I use the entire spectrum of colors in the painting of my pieces. It’s only in the tone, intensity, and brightness that a palette appears. Yellow gold and bluish green with dabs of magenta and purple on a gradated background of moss to greenish yellow ocre, it’s the colors as well as the lines that make this piece dance.
It’s in the black and white drawing that I saw a dancer leaping to the right. In color, I didn’t see it anymore but I like the name which could mean “the great leap” or “one step to the other”. However you see it, there is a grand sense of motion.
